The Church which depended on the abbey of Cluny was rebuilt about 1850.
It went up in the bell-tower of the stones belonging to the old Romance vault which rose in the communal cemetery.
In the old monarchy, the parish was attached to the diocese of Autun, Holy Marie (the Saone and the Loire).
The Abbot of Cluny named the cure. Justice was returned by the magus of Cluny like sir BOYER
